1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Municipal Code by changing
2 Section 11-74.6-20.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
6 changing Section 11-74.6-20 as follows:
7 (65 ILCS 5/11-74.6-20)
8 Sec. 11-74.6-20. Ordinance or resolution for feasibility
9 study. If a municipality or a commission designated pursuant
10 to subsection (l) of Section 11-74.6-15 adopts an ordinance
11 or resolution providing for a feasibility study on the
12 designation of an area as a redevelopment project area, a
13 copy of the ordinance or resolution shall be sent by
14 certified mail within a reasonable time to all taxing
15 districts that would be affected by the designation.
16 On and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of
17 the 91st General Assembly, the ordinance or resolution shall
18 include:
19 (1) The boundaries of the area to be studied for
20 possible designation as a redevelopment project area.
21 (2) The purpose or purposes of the proposed
22 redevelopment plan and project.
23 (3) A general description of tax increment
24 allocation financing under this Law.
25 (4) The name, phone number, and address of the
26 municipal officer who can be contacted for additional
27 information about the proposed redevelopment project area
28 and who should receive all comments and suggestions
29 regarding the redevelopment of the area to be studied.
