 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2823

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  2823  on  page  1,
 3    line 28, by inserting after "3." the following:
 4    "The spouse and children of a person who may elect under this
 5    paragraph 1 to furnish the address of the headquarters of the
 6    government  entity  or police district where the person works
 7    instead of the person's residence address may, if they reside
 8    with that person, also elect to furnish the  address  of  the
 9    headquarters  of  the  government  entity  or police district
10    where the person works as their residence address,  in  which
11    case  that  address  shall  be  deemed  to be their residence
12    address for all purposes under this Chapter 3."; and

13    on page  3,  line  27,  by  inserting  after  "address."  the
14    following:
15    "If,  in  accordance  with  Section  3-405,  the  spouse  and
16    children   of  a  police  officer,  deputy  sheriff,  elected
17    sheriff, law enforcement officer for the Department of  State
18    Police,  or  fire  investigator have furnished the address of
19    the office of the headquarters of the governmental entity  or
20    police  district  where  the  police officer, deputy sheriff,
21    elected sheriff, law enforcement officer for  the  Department
22    of  State Police, or fire investigator works instead of their
23    residence address, the spouse and children shall  notify  the

 1    Secretary  of  State  of  their  old  address and new address
 2    within 10 days after  the  police  officer,  deputy  sheriff,
 3    elected  sheriff,  law enforcement officer for the Department
 4    of State Police, or fire investigator is no  longer  employed
 5    by  that  governmental  entity or police district as a police
 6    officer, deputy sheriff,  elected  sheriff,  law  enforcement
 7    officer   for   the  Department  of  State  Police,  or  fire
 8    investigator.".
