91_HB1536eng HB1536 Engrossed LRB9104150NTsb 1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Section 2 2-3.126. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 6 2-3.126 as follows: 7 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.126 new) 8 Sec. 2-3.126. Vocational education revitalization grant 9 program. The State Board of Education shall establish and 10 administer a vocational education revitalization grant 11 program, subject to a separate appropriation to the State 12 Board of Education. Under this program, school districts 13 that have unused or underfunded vocational education programs 14 may apply for grants to revitalize their vocational education 15 programs. 16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 17 1, 1999.
