1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Section
2 2-3.126.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
6 2-3.126 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.126 new)
8 Sec. 2-3.126. Report on overcrowding. The State Board
9 of Education shall produce a report that identifies which
10 public schools in this State are overcrowded and proposes a
11 3-year plan and solution to address overcrowding in these
12 schools. The State Board of Education shall report its
13 findings and recommendations concerning overcrowding to the
14 General Assembly by filing copies of its report as provided
15 in Section 3.1 of the General Assembly Organization Act by
16 January 1, 2000.
