1 AN ACT to amend the Elder Abuse and Neglect Act by adding
2 Section 3.6.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Elder Abuse and Neglect Act is amended by
6 adding Section 3.6 as follows:
7 (320 ILCS 20/3.6 new)
8 Sec. 3.6. Elder abuse awareness campaign. The
9 Department, in conjunction with the Department of Public
10 Health and the Department of Human Services, shall undertake
11 a public information and awareness campaign to educate
12 people about the nature and circumstances of elder abuse and
13 neglect.
