1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by adding Section 60.4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 60.4 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2105/60.4 new)
8 Sec. 60.4. Notice of mandatory reporting of elder abuse.
9 The Department shall include in the information provided to
10 applicants under the Illinois Dental Practice Act, the
11 Medical Practice Act of 1987, the Podiatric Medical Practice
12 Act, and to applicants for a license as a registered
13 professional nurse under the Nursing and Advanced Practice
14 Nursing Act a notice advising those applicants of their duty
15 to report incidents of abuse or neglect with respect to a
16 resident of a long term facility under Section 4 of the
17 Abused and Neglected Long Term Care Facility Residents
18 Reporting Act.
