1 AN ACT to amend the Municipal Code by changing Section
2 8-1-2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
6 changing Section 8-1-2 as follows:
7 (65 ILCS 5/8-1-2) (from Ch. 24, par. 8-1-2)
8 Sec. 8-1-2. Appropriation. The corporate authorities
9 may appropriate money for corporate purposes only and provide
10 for payment of debts and expenses of the corporation.
