 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The amount of $65,044,700, or so much of that
 5    amount  as  may be necessary, is appropriated from the Common
 6    School Fund  to  the  Public  School  Teachers'  Pension  and
 7    Retirement  Fund  of Chicago for the State's contribution, as
 8    provided by law and pursuant to PA 90-548.

 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
10    1, 1999.
