1 AN ACT to amend the University of Illinois Act by
2 changing Section 3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
6 changing Section 3 as follows:
7 (110 ILCS 305/3) (from Ch. 144, par. 24)
8 Sec. 3. Branch; department. In case the board of
9 trustees shall at any time determine to establish a branch or
10 department of said university at any points elected by them,
11 such branch or department shall be under the control of the
12 members of said board residing in the grand division and
13 congressional district where said branch shall be located,
14 unless otherwise ordered by said board of trustees: Provided,
15 that no portion of the funds resulting from the congressional
16 grant of land for the endowment of said University, or from
17 any donation now or hereafter to be made by the county, city
18 or town at or near which the University is located; and no
19 portion of the interest or proceeds of either of said funds
20 shall ever be applied to the support of any branch or
21 department located outside of the county wherein said
22 University is located by this act.
