1 AN ACT to amend the Procurement Code by changing Section
2 50-65.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
6 changing Section 50-65 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 500/50-65)
8 Sec. 50-65. Contractor suspension. Any contractor may
9 be suspended for violation of this Code or for failure to
10 conform to specifications or terms of delivery. Suspension
11 shall be for cause and may be for a period of up to 5 years
12 at the discretion of the applicable chief procurement
13 officer. Contractors may be debarred according to in
14 accordance with rules promulgated by the chief procurement
15 officer or as otherwise provided by law.
