1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Sections
2 10-20.31 and 34-18.18.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
6 10-20.31 and 34-18.18 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.31 new)
8 Sec. 10-20.31. Earning college credit. A school board
9 may enter into a joint venture with a university, college, or
10 community college to allow students that are enrolled at a
11 year-round school to earn at least 30 semester hours of
12 college credit, with these students being eligible for
13 financial aid at the university, college, or community
14 college.

16 Sec. 34-18.18. Earning college credit. The board of
