91_HB0307eng HB0307 Engrossed LRB9101518PTpk 1 AN ACT to amend the Department of Veterans Affairs Act by 2 adding Section 2d. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Department of Veterans Affairs Act is 6 amended by adding Section 2d as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 2805/2d new) 8 Sec. 2d. LaSalle Veterans Home capacity. 9 (a) The Department finds that the Illinois Veterans Home 10 at LaSalle requires an increase in capacity to better serve 11 the north central region of Illinois and to accommodate the 12 increasing number of Illinois veterans eligible for care. 13 (b) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall 14 increase by at least 80 beds the capacity of the Illinois 15 Veterans Home at LaSalle and shall request and expend federal 16 grants for this Veterans Home addition.
