Short description: 
CRIM CD-PIERCING MINORS BODY                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the  Criminal  Code  of  1961.   Creates  the  offense  of      
   piercing  the  body  of  a  minor.    Provides  that  it  is a Class C      
   misdemeanor for a person to pierce or offer to pierce the  body  of  a      
   person  under 18 years of age without written consent of the parent or      
   legal guardian of that person for purposes of making  a  hole  in  the      
   body  to  allow  the  injection  of an object for ornamentation of the      
   body.    Exempts   from   the   prohibition   injections,   incisions,      
   acupuncture, or similar medical or dental  procedure  performed  by  a      
   person  authorized  to  perform  that  procedure.   Exempts  from  the      
   prohibition emancipated minors.  Effective 30 days after becoming law.
