Short description: 
SILVER-HAIRED LEGISLATURE                                                  

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates the Silver-Haired Legislature.  Provides that each member      
   of the Senate and the  House  of  Representatives  shall  appoint  one      
   person  who  is at least 60 years of age to serve in the Silver-Haired      
   Legislature.  Provides that members shall serve  without  compensation      
   or reimbursement for expenses. Requires the President and the Minority      
   Leader  of  the  Senate and the Speaker and the Minority Leader of the      
   House of Representatives each to appoint one  member  of  the  General      
   Assembly  to serve on the Silver-Haired Commission.  Provides that the      
   Commission  shall  have  the   responsibility   for   organizing   the      
   Silver-Haired Legislature. Provides that the Silver-Haired Legislature      
   shall be bicameral and shall be structured after the General Assembly.      
   Requires  the  members  of  the  Silver-Haired  Legislature  to  elect      
   presiding officers on the first day that it convenes.
