OPTOMETRIST-CLIN LAB EXAMS                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Clinical Laboratory and  Blood  Bank  Act  to      
   provide  that  clinical  laboratories  may  examine  specimens  at the      
   request of a therapeutic optometrist.                                       
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Limits the circumstances under which a clinical laboratory may         
   examine specimens at the request of a therapeutic optometrist.              
          FISCAL NOTE (Dpt. Professional Regulation)                           
          SB901 will have no measurable fiscal impact.                         
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE (DCCA)                                    
          SB 901 fails to create a State mandate.
