Short description: PEN CD-IMRF-EDUC HEALTH INSUR Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Article of the Pension Code to provide a program of group health insurance for retired employees of participating educational employers and their spouses. Requires both active educational employees and their employers to contribute 0.5% of earnings toward the costs of the program. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE Fiscal impact has not been determined, but could be significant and individual employers' costs would vary depending on the number of participating individuals and their salaries.
