Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Provides for the testing and
certification of foreign language court interpreters. Effective
January 1, 1998.
No decrease or increase in the number of judges needed.

Staffing costs would total $257,200. There would be additional
costs from college assessments of contract costs for curriculum
development, testing, training.
