MUNI CD-ORDINANCE-TECHNICAL                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Code  concerning  the  revision  of      
   ordinances.  Adds a caption.                                                
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          65 ILCS 5/1-2-3                                                      
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          50 ILCS 750/15.4                from Ch. 134, par. 45.4              
          60 ILCS 1/15-50                                                      
        Deletes everything.  Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act to      
   provide that an Emergency Telephone System Board may use the Emergency      
   Telephone System Fund to pay for a computer aided dispatch system that      
   records, maintains, and integrates information.  Adds  that  the  fund      
   may  pay  for  the  maintenance,  replacement,  and  update of certain      
   equipment if expended to increase operational efficiency  and  improve      
   the  provision  of  emergency  services.    Amends  the Township Code.      
   Provides that the city council of any home rule municipality may cease      
   to exercise the powers of the township board.  Provides that vacancies      
   within the offices of township clerk, township collector, and board of      
   trustees resulting from the city council's action shall be  filled  in      
   accordance  with  the general election law for the holding of township      
   elections.  Provides that the city council's action  shall  not  alter      
   the  rights  and  duties of the township supervisor as chief executive      
   officer of  the  township  or  of  any  other  duly  elected  township      
   officials.  Effective immediately.
