Short description: 
CD CORR-ATTACK ON GUARDS                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961.  Provides that the penalty  for      
   aggravated   battery  committed  against  a  correctional  institution      
   employee while the employee is performing his or her  official  duties      
   is  a  Class X felony rather than a Class 3 felony. Amends the Unified      
   Code of Corrections. Provides that a prisoner convicted of  aggravated      
   battery  committed  against  a correctional institution employee shall      
   serve that sentence consecutive to the original sentence for which the      
   offender has been incarcerated  and  shall  receive  no  good  conduct      
   credit  and all accumulated good conduct credit of that prisoner shall      
   be revoked.  Amends the County Jail Good  Behavior  Allowance  Act  to      
   provide  that  a  prisoner  in  a  county  jail who commits aggravated      
   battery against a jail employee shall lose good conduct credit.
