House Sponsors: SCOTT. Short description: UNINSURED MOTORIST-MANDTY ARB Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that, under the mandatory arbitration requirements applicable to uninsured motor vehicle coverage, the decision of the arbitrators shall be binding for the amount of damages awarded. Currently the arbitrators' decision is binding only when the amount of damages is less than the minimum statutorily required amount of coverage. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (Dpt.
