House Sponsors: WOOD. Short description: FIREARM OWNERS-REVOCATION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that a person whose Firearm Owner's Identification Card is revoked by the Department of State Police shall return the revoked card to the Department or submit an affidavit to the Department that his or her card has been lost or destroyed. Provides that a knowing violation is a Class 4 felony. Provides that the Department may attempt to confiscate revoked cards of certain mentally ill persons. Effective immediately.
