Short description: 
COMPUTER ERROR-GOVT IMMUNITY                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates the Computer Error Immunity Act and amends the  Court  of      
   Claims  Act and the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort      
   Immunity Act.   Grants  immunity  to  State  agencies,  officers,  and      
   employees  and  to local public entities and public employees from any      
   cause of action resulting from a date error generated by a  government      
   computer.    Requires  express grants of immunity in contracts entered      
   into after the Act's effective date and voids  conflicting  provisions      
   in  those  contracts.     Denies the Court of Claims jurisdiction over      
   causes of action for which immunity  is  granted  under  the  Computer      
   Error Immunity Act.   Effective immediately.
