Short description:
CRIM CD-FIREARM DISCHARGE

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that a person who
discharges a firearm at or into a building that the person reasonably
should know to be occupied when the firearm is discharged from a place
or position outside that building commits the offense of aggravated
discharge of a firearm (now the person must know the building is
occupied in order for the person to be liable for the offense).
          FISCAL NOTE, (Dpt. of Corrections)
The corrections population impact and fiscal impact is minimal.
          CORRECTIONAL NOTE
          No change from previous note.
          JUDICIAL NOTE
The bill would neither decrease nor increase the need for the
number of judges in the state.
FISCAL NOTE (Office of Ill. Courts)
The bill would not have a fiscal impact on the Judicial Branch.
