Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Park District Code. Provides that any park district
owning and holding real estate is authorized to give, sell, or lease
that property to the State of Illinois.
          HOME RULE NOTE
HB 2471 does not preempt home rule authority.
          STATE MANDATES ACT FISCAL NOTE
HB 2471 fails to create a State mandate.
FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Natural Resources)
Fiscal impact of any subsequent gifts cannot be estimated.
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
Requires certain conveyances of park property to provide that
ownership of the property reverts to the grantor if the grantee
knowingly violates the required covenant by allowing all or any part
of the property to be used for other than park or recreational
purposes. Contains similar provisions with respect to leases.
Specifies that for property not subject to the recreational use
requirement because of alternative property obtained by the district,
the alternative property must be obtained in the same or a related
   transaction. Also makes technical changes.
