Short description: METRO EAST SAN DIST-COMMISSION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Metro-East Sanitary District Act of 1974 to provide that the district shall be governed by a board of 7 commissioners (now 5). Provides for the appointment of another commissioner by the appointing authority of the county with only 2 commissioners on the board, and provides that the Governor shall appoint one commissioner at large from the district. Provides that only 4 (now 3) of the commissioners on the board may be members of the same political party.
