CNTY CD-SHERIFFS JAIL STIPEND                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Counties Code.  Provides that each sheriff who handles      
   prisoners shall receive an annual  stipend  of  $10,000  (now  stipend      
   amount  depends on the operation of a jail) from the State.  Effective      
   immediately.
