Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Makes  appropriations  or  reappropriations  or   both   to   the      
   Department  of  Public Health for fiscal year 1998.  Effective July 1,      
   1997.                                                                       
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Increases grant amount for Alzheimer's Disease assistance. Adds a      
   line item for AIDS drug and hospitalization reimbursement of Cook           
   County detainees.                                                           
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2.                                                 
        Adds appropriations for DPH grants for Chicago Open Hand, dia-         
   betes education and prevention, Urban Youth Violence Prevention Task        
   Force.                                                                      
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO 3.                                                  
        Adds appropriation for a grant to Rock Valley Epilepsy Assoc.          
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 4.                                                 
        Makes appropriations for grants to Robert Crown Center, Hinsdale.      
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 5.                                                 
        Makes additional grants to DPH for various purposes.
