Short description: 
HUMAN RTS-MONITOR AGENCIES                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends  the  Illinois  Human  Rights  Act.   Provides  that   the      
   Department  of  Human  Rights  shall  monitor  State agency employment      
   practices  to  ensure  compliance  with  applicable  State  laws   and      
   administrative  rules.   Provides  that  the  Department shall monitor      
   progress and make recommendations to  the  Governor  and  the  General      
   Assembly  concerning the State's compliance with the work activity and      
   employment  components  of  the  Personal  Responsibility   and   Work      
   Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996.                                     
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          HB 1753 fails to create a State mandate.
