Short description:
PEACE OFFICER-INTERROGATION

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Uniform Peace Officers' Disciplinary Act. Provides
that a peace officer shall not be interrogated without written notice
of his or her rights under the Act, delivered in person or by
certified mail no less than 3 days before the interrogation, unless
this requirement is waived by the officer. Effective immediately.
          FISCAL NOTE (Ill. State Police)
There would be fiscal impact from HB1321 on the State Police.
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE
In the opinion of DCCA, HB1321 fails to create a State mandate
          under the State Mandates Act.
          CORRECTIONAL NOTE
This legislation has no fiscal or prison population impact on
          this Dept.
          JUDICIAL NOTE
The bill would not neither decrease nor increase the need for
the number of judges in the state.
