Short description: EPA-TRANSFER STATION FEES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Environmental Protection Act to allow a unit of local government to impose a fee, tax, or surcharge on the transfer of waste from a transfer station located in Illinois to a landfill or incinerator for permanent disposal. Provides that the fee, tax, or surcharge imposed on a transfer station may not exceed 48% of the total fees, taxes, or surcharges imposed by all units of local government on the transfer and disposal of the same waste. Allows the fee, tax, or surcharge to be used for any governmental purpose. Effective immediately.
