Eliminates the dollar limits on recoveries in actions against a person who sells (or, under specified circumstances, provides) liquor to a person who becomes intoxicated and causes death, personal injury, or property damage. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything. Amends the Liquor Control Act. Authorizes an action for loss of society; imposes limits on recoveries for injury to person or property ($55,000), loss of means of support ($65,000), and loss of society ($65,000). Effective immediately. STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE, H-AM 1 HB 46, with H-am 1, fails to create a State mandate. FISCAL NOTE, H-AM 1 (Liquor Control Comm.)
