(KARPIEL-HAWKINSON)

   20 ILCS 505/5             from Ch. 23, par. 5005                            

        Amends the  Children  and  Family  Services  Act.   Requires  the      
   Department of Children and Family Services to provide information on a      
   child's criminal background to the child's foster care providers.           
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB56 fails to meet the definition of         
          a State mandate under the State Mandates Act.
