90_SJ0028enr 90SJ0028 Enrolled SRS90SJ0003KSsa 1 STATE OF ILLINOIS 2 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 3 SENATE 4 Senate Joint Resolution No. 28 5 Offered by Senator Dan Cronin 6 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Fall 7 1997 Mandate Waiver report, dated October 1, 1997, and an 8 addendum to that report dated October 24, 1997, with the 9 Senate and the House of Representatives as required by 10 Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; therefore, be it 11 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 12 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 13 CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request pertaining to licensed 14 practical nurses (LPN's) submitted by Prairie Hills 15 Elementary School District 144, identified in the report as 16 WM197-0808-1, is disapproved; and be it further 17 RESOLVED, That the requests pertaining to school nurses 18 submitted by Exceptional Children Have Opportunities (ECHO) 19 Joint Agreement of Cook County, identified in the report as 20 WM197-0769, and Special Education District of Lake County, 21 identified in the report as WM197-0770, are disapproved for 22 the reason that the applicants, as special education 23 cooperatives, are ineligible to apply for waivers under the 24 existing language of Section 2-3.25g. 25 Adopted by the Senate, November 12, 1997. 26 _______________________ _______________________ 27 Secretary of the Senate President of the Senate 90SJ0028 Enrolled -2- SRS90SJ0003KSsa 1 Concurred in by the House of Representatives, November 2 14, 1997. 3 _______________________ _______________________ 4 Clerk of House of Speaker of House of 5 Representatives Representatives
