1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1019
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1019 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning land transfer."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. Upon the payment of $120,000 to the State of
8 Illinois, the Secretary of Transportation is authorized to
9 convey by quitclaim deed all right, title, and interest in
10 the following described land in Kane County to the City of
11 St. Charles:
12 That part of the South West quarter of Section 26,
13 Township 40 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
14 Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the North
15 East corner of Lot 1 in Block 3 of W. H. Wilcox's 2nd
16 Addition to St. Charles; thence South 25 degrees East
17 along the Easterly line of said Block 3, 509.8 feet;
18 thence North 64 degrees 32 minutes East 264 feet for the
19 point of beginning; thence North 64 degrees 32 minutes
20 East 79.44 feet; thence South 89 degrees 41 minutes East
21 365 feet; thence South 2 degrees 22 minutes West 440.8
22 feet to the South line of said South West quarter; thence

1 West along said South line 228.1 feet to a line drawn
2 South 25 degrees East parallel with the East line and
3 East line extended of said Block 3, form the point of
4 beginning; thence North 25 degrees West along said
5 parallel line 450.1 feet to the point of beginning; in
6 the City of St. Charles, Kane County, Illinois;
7 Said parcel contains 3.410 acres more or less.
8 Section 10. The Secretary of Transportation shall obtain
9 a certified copy of this Act within 60 days after the Act's
10 effective date and, upon receipt of payment, shall record the
11 certified document in the Recorder's Office in the county in
12 which the land is located.".
