1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 878
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 878, AS AMENDED,
3 in Section 35, subsection (c), by deleting that subsection's
4 second paragraph, which begins with "This Act shall
5 constitute"; and
6 in Section 35, by replacing subsections (e) and (f) of that
7 Section with the following:
8 "(e) If the Commission determines that there are
9 insufficient moneys in the Illinois Prepaid Tuition Trust
10 Fund to pay contractual obligations in the next succeeding
11 fiscal year, the Commission shall certify the amount
12 necessary to meet these obligations to the Board of Higher
13 Education, the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the
14 Speaker of the House of Representatives. The Governor shall
15 request the General Assembly to transfer into the Illinois
16 Prepaid Tuition Trust Fund the necessary amount required to
17 fully pay and discharge all obligations arising under the
18 contracts pursuant to this Act that otherwise could not be
19 discharged."; and
20 in Section 35, in the last subsection of that Section, by
21 replacing "(g) In the event" with "(f) In the event".
