1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 827
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 827 on page 1,
3 line 11, by inserting "or on" after "within"; and
4 on page 2, line 2, by changing "a building" to "being in a
5 building"; and
6 on page 2, line 4, by inserting after "operation" the
7 following:
8 "; nor shall this Section apply to a person who enters a
9 public building under the reasonable belief that the building
10 is still open to the public"; and
11 on page 3, by inserting between lines 23 and 24 the
12 following:
13 "(f) This Section does not prohibit a person from
14 entering a building or upon the land of another for
15 emergency purposes. For purposes of this subsection (f),
16 "emergency" means a condition or circumstance in which an
17 individual is or is reasonably believed by the person to
18 be in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or in which
19 property is or is reasonably believed to be in imminent
20 danger of damage or destruction.".
