1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 433
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 433 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Election Code by changing Section
5 5-4."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
9 Section 5-4 as follows:
10 (10 ILCS 5/5-4) (from Ch. 46, par. 5-4)
11 Sec. 5-4. Registration officer. The County Clerk shall
12 be ex-officio the registration officer of such county and
13 shall have full charge and control of the registration of
14 voters within such county where this Article 5 is in effect.
15 The clerk and a duly appointed deputy clerk of each city,
16 village, incorporated town and township in which all or any
17 part of the territory in which this Article 5 is in effect
18 shall be deputy registration officers.
