funds in connection with cogeneration projects. Effective

1 AN ACT to amend the State Finance Act by adding Section
2 37.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
6 Section 37 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 105/37 new)
8 Sec. 37. Cogeneration projects. State funds shall not be
9 used, pursuant to appropriation, in connection with the
10 development, financing, acquisition, construction,
11 reconstruction, ownership, lease, operation, maintenance,
12 repair, extension, or improvement of a cogeneration facility,
13 as defined in the Public Utilities Act.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
