 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to  learn
 3    of  the  death of Harrison Banks, Jr. of Chicago on September
 4    5, 1998; and
 5        WHEREAS, He was born on December 15,  1917,  the  son  of
 6    Harrison  Banks, Sr. and Susan Trice-Banks; he graduated from
 7    DuSable High School in 1937; and
 8        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Banks  began  working   for   the   Nugent
 9    Corporation in 1942 and retired in 1982; and
10        WHEREAS, On January 21, 1944, Harrison Banks, Jr. married
11    Mae  Frances Larkin; they were married for fifty-four and one
12    half years; and
13        WHEREAS, He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and  a
14    member of the Wide-Awake Club; and
15        WHEREAS,  His  passing  will be deeply felt by his family
16    and friends, especially his wife, Mae  Frances  Larkin-Banks;
17    his  children, Eliese Camille Carson, Elayne Virline Ballard,
18    Lucille Frances Jefferson, Susan Denise  Holtzclaw,  Harrison
19    Banks  III,  Charles  Edward  Banks, and Mary Lue Lanier; his
20    adopted daughter,  Phyllis  Brown-Johns;  his  grandchildren,
21    Anthony  James Ballard, Stephan Carson, Elayne Camille Banks,
22    Suzon  Michele  Holtzclaw,  Merridan  Antron  Banks,   Calvin
23    Christopher  Walls, and Maraliese DeSheara Lanier; therefore,
24    be it
25        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
26    NINETIETH  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
27    note with sorrow and regret the death of Harrison Banks,  Jr.
28    and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends;
29    and be it further
30        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be

 1    presented to his widow, Mae Frances Larkin-Banks.
