1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to acknowledge the Junior League of
4 Greater DuKane and their work to improve the quality of life
5 for children at risk; and
6 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc., is an
7 affiliate of the Association of Junior Leagues International;
8 The Junior League is an organization of women committed to
9 promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and
10 improving the community through the effective action and
11 leadership of trained volunteers; the purpose of The Junior
12 League of Greater DuKane is exclusively educational and
13 charitable; and
14 WHEREAS, Projects supported by The Junior League include:
15 CASA, Kids on the Block, Greater DuPage MYM's Parents Pantry
16 and Childserv, The Children's Place, and Story Wizards; The
17 Junior League is served by women from DuPage, Kendall, Kane,
18 and Will Counties of Illinois; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate The Junior League of Greater DuKane on a job
22 well done; through the efforts of The Junior League, people
23 of the surrounding communities are given a wide range of
24 support services to help them in times of need; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to The Junior League of Greater DuKane.
