1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Robert Bross of Rantoul, Illinois, will celebrate the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bross were united in holy matrimony
10 on August 14, 1948, in Farmer City, Illinois; and
11 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Barbara Newel,
12 Lynn Burk, and Robert L. Bross; they have five grandchildren
13 and one great-grandchild; and
14 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
15 highest plateaus when a couple such as Robert and Maxcine
16 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
17 WHEREAS, Robert and Maxcine Bross stand as examples of
18 the best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
19 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
20 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
21 difference in today's world; therefore be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
24 congratulate Robert and Maxcine Bross on the occasion of
25 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
26 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
27 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
28 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
29 further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
