1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
4 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is created a Government
5 Investment Policy Review Committee, composed of 6 members of
6 the House of Representatives appointed 3 each by the Speaker
7 and Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and 6
8 members of the Senate appointed 3 each by the President and
9 Minority Leader of the Senate; and be it further
10 RESOLVED, That the members of the Government Investment
11 Policy Review Committee shall select a chairperson from among
12 their number; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That the Government Investment Policy Review
14 Committee shall review the investment policies of the State
15 of Illinois, units of local government in Illinois, school
16 districts in Illinois, and government pools in which any of
17 the above participate; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That the Government Investment Policy Review
19 Committee shall report to the General Assembly by May 1, 1997
20 its findings and recommendations regarding changes in State
21 laws authorizing government investments or changes in the
22 reporting of those investments.
