1 AN ACT to amend the Boat Registration and Safety Act by
2 changing Section 1-1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Boat Registration and Safety Act is
6 amended by changing Section 1-1 as follows:
7 (625 ILCS 45/1-1) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 311-1)
8 Sec. 1-1. Title and declaration of intent.
9 (a) This Act shall be known and may be cited as the Boat
10 "Boat Registration and Safety Act."
11 (b) It is the policy of this State to promote safety for
12 persons and property in and connected with the use,
13 operation, and equipment of vessels and to promote uniformity
14 of laws relating thereto.
