      15 ILCS 205/5c new
          Amends  the  Attorney  General  Act.  Provides  that  the
      Attorney General, with the cooperation of the Departments  of
      State  Police  and Central Management Services, LEADS primary
      contact agencies, and I  SEARCH  Units,  shall  post  on  the
      Internet,  pictures  of children missing from Illinois at the
      State of Illinois World Wide Web site.

 1        AN ACT concerning missing children.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 5.  The Attorney General Act is amended by adding
 5    Section 5c as follows:
 6        (15 ILCS 205/5c new)
 7        Sec.  5c.  Pictures of missing children on Internet.  The
 8    Attorney General, with the cooperation of the  Department  of
 9    State  Police, the Department of Central Management Services,
10    LEADS primary contact agencies, and  I  SEARCH  Units,  shall
11    make  available  to  the  public pictures of children missing
12    from Illinois by posting the pictures on the Internet at  the
13    State  of  Illinois World Wide Web site. The Attorney General
14    shall promulgate rules concerning the administration of  this
15    Internet  service, which shall include (i) the requirement of
16    consent by the parents or guardians to post a missing child's
17    picture and personal information on the Internet and (ii) the
18    timely delivery of child recovery information to the  parents
19    or guardians, appropriate law enforcement agencies, and State
20    agencies.
21        For  the  purpose of this Section, "missing child", LEADS
22    "primary contact  agency",  and  "I  SEARCH  Unit"  have  the
23    meanings  provided  in  Section  2  of  the Intergovernmental
24    Missing Child Recovery Act of 1984.
