1 AN ACT to amend the Foreign Trade Games Act by changing
2 Section 2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Foreign Trade Zones Act is amended by
6 changing Section 2 as follows:
7 (50 ILCS 40/2) (from Ch. 24, par. 1362)
8 Sec. 2. Pecuniary interest prohibited. It is unlawful
9 for any person holding an elective office in this State,
10 holding a seat in the General Assembly, or appointed to or
11 employed in any of the offices of State government, or who is
12 an officer or employee of the Illinois Building Authority or
13 the Illinois Toll Highway Authority, or who is the wife,
14 husband, child, grandparent, parent, grandchild, aunt, uncle,
15 niece, nephew, brother, sister, first cousin, brother-in-law,
16 sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, or
17 daughter-in-law of any such person to have or acquire any
18 contract, or any direct or indirect pecuniary interest in any
19 grant or contract issued pursuant to this Act.
20 Any person convicted of a violation of this Section is
21 guilty of a business offense and shall be fined not more than
22 $2,500.
