Makes appropriations to the Department of Transportation
to provide a matching grant to the City of Chicago to begin
implementation of the City's Lakefront Transportation Plan
along Lake Shore Drive with an extension north to Fullerton

1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Department of
2 Transportation to provide a matching grant to the City of
3 Chicago.
4 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
5 represented in the General Assembly:
6 Section 5. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of
8 Transportation to provide a matching grant to the City of
9 Chicago to begin implementation of the City's Lakefront
10 Transportation Plan along Lake Shore Drive with an extension
11 north to Fullerton Avenue.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
13 1, 1998.
