Amends the Counties Code. Makes a reference gender
neutral in the Section concerning the internal operations of
the office of the State's Attorney. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Counties Code by changing Section
2 3-9006.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing
6 Section 3-9006 as follows:
7 (55 ILCS 5/3-9006) (from Ch. 34, par. 3-9006)
8 Sec. 3-9006. Internal operations of office. The State's
9 attorney shall control the internal operations of his or her
10 office and procure the necessary equipment, materials and
11 services to perform the duties of his office.

13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14 becoming law.
