1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2424
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2424 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 23 through 26 with "primary elections or by
4 holding or having held an office in a political party
5 organization before the appointment. If the appointee has not
6 voted in a party primary election or is not holding or has
7 not held an office in a political party organization before
8 the appointment, then the appointee shall establish his or
9 her political party affiliation by his or her record of
10 participating in a political party's nomination or election
11 caucus."; and
12 on page 4, by replacing lines 8 through 11 with "of voting in
13 party primary elections or by holding or having held an
14 office in a political party organization before appointment.
15 If the appointee has not voted in a party primary election or
16 is not holding or has not held an office in a political party
17 organization before the appointment, then the appointee shall
18 establish his or her political party affiliation by his or
19 her record of participating in a political party's nomination
20 or election caucus.".
