change in provisions regarding energy assistance.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by changing
2 Section 4-14.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
6 changing Section 4-14 as follows:
7 (305 ILCS 5/4-14) (from Ch. 23, par. 4-14)
8 Sec. 4-14. As provided by the Energy Assistance Act of
9 1989, enacted by the 86th General Assembly, between November
10 1 and April 30 the Department shall, pursuant to Section
11 12-4.7a, make payments to the Department of Commerce and
12 Community Affairs for special energy assistance on behalf of
13 families eligible pursuant to Section 4-1 of this Code. The
14 Such payments or transfers or deposits shall not exceed the
15 amounts appropriated for such purposes and shall be in
16 amounts determined in accordance with Section 13 of the
17 Energy Assistance Act of 1989.
