1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1272
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1272 on page 1,
3 line 31, by replacing "School" with the following:
4 "The school board of each public elementary and secondary
5 school in the State is encouraged to have in its employ, or
6 on its volunteer staff, at least one person who is certified,
7 by the American Red Cross or by another qualified certifying
8 agency, as qualified to administer first aid and
9 cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In addition, each school
10 board is authorized to allocate appropriate portions of its
11 institute or inservice days to conduct training programs for
12 teachers and other school personnel who have expressed an
13 interest in becoming qualified to administer emergency first
14 aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation. School"; and
15 on page 2, line 7, by replacing "agency" with "agency."; and
16 by replacing line 8 with "However, No pupil".
